As the sun begins to set, step aboard a traditional longtail boat for one of 500 Rai’s most-loved activities. Glide across the quiet lake while the sky turns golden, with limestone cliffs glowing in the evening light. You might spot hornbills, langurs, or even elephants along the water’s edge. This adventure Starts with a short boat journey of around 15 minutes from 500Rai, followed by a forest trail leading to a beautiful elevated viewpoint over Chiewlarn Lake. The final section is more adventurous, with some scrambling involved, and is considered an advanced-level trail. The reward is a wonderful panoramic view across the lake and surrounding limestone landscape.
This is a gentle forest trail taking guests deep into the tropical rainforest. The trail itself is not highly strenuous; the real experience is the journey through the rich forest ecosystem, where you can see the incredible diversity of plants and, with a little luck, encounter small signs of wildlife along the way. It offers a closer look at the natural richness of Khao Sok National Park.
A refreshing nature walk leading through the rainforest towards Pad Sian Waterfall. During the rainy season (July – November), the forest is especially alive and the waterfall is at its most dramatic with lush vegetation and a cool, refreshing atmosphere along the trail. It is a wonderful experience to enjoy being close to nature without needing an overly challenging hike.
