Elephant Hills
Elephant Hills are Thailand’s first Luxury Tented Jungle Camps including award-winning nature adventure tours. They blend the safari camp idea of African national parks with the spectacular tropical evergreen forest environment of southern Thailand’s Khao Sok National Park.
There are two camps; the Elephant Camp and the Lake Camp. At both camps you will be staying in spacious luxury glamping tents which are fully equipped with all the amenities you would find in a regular 4-star hotel room to make your stay in the jungle as comfortable as possible.
Whether you stay at the Jungle Camp or the Lake Camp the activities available are similar, and can be booked on a 1, 2 or 3 night basis.
This is the main camp at Elephant Hills, in the southern edge of the Khao Sok National Park which is part of southern Thailand’s largest stretch of primary rainforest, in the Surat Thani province.
The jungle camp is an eco-luxury retreat deep in the national park, offering treehouses and guided treks led by local guides who know the jungle’s secrets. It’s all about immersing in nature – spotting wildlife, hiking to waterfalls, and unwinding with a jungle view.
The Lake Camp is situated in the middle of the Cheow Larn Lake, a 165 km2 large lake in the heart of Khao Sok National Park.
The Lake Camp offers stunning views of limestone karsts across the water. It’s chill and scenic – kayak, boat tours to caves, or just chill with a hammock and watch the lake’s changing moods.
The 2 day Jungle Safari includes the Elephant Experience and Rain Forest Trek.
The 3 day Jungle Lake Safari includes Elephant Experience, sightseeing on the Cheow lake and Rain Forest Trek.
The 4 day Jungle Safari adds in the Mangrove forest experience.
You will be able to spend time with the elephants in their natural environment helping the team prepare their daily feed, which the elephants then enjoy at their own pace at feeding stations within their free-roaming habitat. You will also have the chance to watch them bathe and play in their mud pool, and observe them as they roam, graze, and interact freely in their expansive natural habitat.
Elephant Hills does not allow elephant riding as carrying tourists on their backs is not a natural behaviour.
