Staying here was one of our highlights of our time in Cambodia.

We loved the comfortable rooms, gorgeous pool and fabulous spa treatments and knowing our stay was directly benefitting local people was a real bonus. All guests are encouraged to partake in a tour of the farm to get a deeper understanding of the incredible work that is taking place here. It may also be possible to visit the impressive school which is on the same campus.

Guests stay in Khmer-style bungalows or contemporary suites, each featuring air conditioning, minibars, terraces and private bathrooms. The resort’s restaurant serves seasonal dishes made with ingredients from its own farm, offering a farm-to-table dining experience throughout the day.

Visitors can explore the surrounding countryside, engage with local craftspeople, or take part in immersive farm activities. On-site leisure includes a tranquil spa, a swimming pool, and curated wellness experiences designed for relaxation and cultural connection.

The Smiling Gecko Campus, founded in 2014, is located approximately 60 Km north-east of the capital Phnom Penh in the Kampong Chhnang province. Around 30,000 people live in the immediate vicinity of the campus, most of whom are supported or sponsored by Smiling Gecko. Starting with just nine hectares, the site has now grown to 150 hectares. Here, deprived children receive schooling according to international standards and young adults receive professional training.
