Suryauday Haveli on Shivala Ghats is a reflection of the spirit of the holy city of Varanasi. The Haveli traces its history back to the early 20th century. It was built by the Royal Family of Nepal as a retreat for the aged. It has been painstakingly restored to provide an excellent Ghat experience in Varanasi.

Your stay begins with a 15 minute boat ride upstream along the famous Ghats of Varanasi to reach the Haveli. The Haveli is also connected by small alleys and streets leading to the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple (15 minutes walk). Accommodation at the Haveli includes 1 river facing Shivala Suite, Executive Rooms and Ganges View Rooms.

The main restaurant, Khana Pakana, serves vegetarian food and a special Maharaja Thali. The Roof Top also serves food and drinks but please be aware that as with all establishments situated in close proximity to the Ganges, only vegetarian food is served and no alcohol is available. Yoga sessions are available with a professional instructor and take place on the roof top terrace.

With outdoor terraces overlooking the Ganges and a prime location on the Ghats, Suryauday is an excellent option and often gets booked up quickly.
