Sumba Beaches
Sumba beaches are unlike other beaches in Indonesia as nearly all are white sand beaches. There is little volcanic activity so only small amounts of volcanic soil in the south. Although all white sand beaches no two are alike. Walakiri beach has mangrove trees that appear at low tide and make stunning photographs. If you want a sheltered bay with no waves then Mandorak beach is the one for you. There is also really good surfing along the west coast, for those that prefer some wave action. The beaches are all perfect relaxation and sunbathing.
