Jakarta is the Capital city of Indonesia and as well as its amazing skyline it has so much to offer. The street food in Jakarta is excellent and has an amazing selection to choose from. There are also a wide selection of restaurants including our favourite Cafe Batavia which has an excellent atmosphere, as well as amazing food. Jakarta is shoppers paradise with over 100 malls, small boutique and local shops offering everything you could possibly need. Jakarta’s Old Town is worth visiting for the cultural experiences, such as the architecture, food and atmosphere. If culture is what you are looking for there is an excellent art scene in Jakarta and a selection of museums. For day trips you can enjoy local islands, beaches, trekking and so much more.

This city beach is located near the old town in Jakarta and has splash parks, aquariums, restaurants, shops and even an eco park to enjoy a trek. It is great for a day out with the family as there is so much to do. There is of course also a white sand beach to relax on. This area can become very crowded during peak times.

Jakarta has a great selection of restaurants with local cuisine, which is delicious. You must try Nasi Goreng or the local satay. We will point you in the direction of the best restaurants in town that not only have great food but also good music and atmosphere.
Kota Tua (Old Town)

The old town of Jakarta also called Kota Tua still has a touch of its Dutch colonisation. The architecture is unlike any of the other areas of Jakarta. It is home to a great number of museums as well as excellent small cafes that keep the old traditions alive.
Monas Tower

A national monument standing a 132m tall in Merdeka Square. Built to commemorate Indonesian independence. It is topped with a gold flame and first opened in 1975. You can travel up in the lift to a platform just below the flame to get magnificent views of the city of Jakarta.

Jakarta has a great music scene and there are a lot of venues to choose from, we can send you to some small local cafes, that offer a local traditional feel. This is great to get you excited for your holiday ahead or to end your holiday on a great night.On arrival in Jakarta you can enjoy an evening trip to Jakarta Old Town or “Kota Tua”. This neighborhood is the original downtown area of Jakarta, Indonesia. It is also known as Old Batavia (Dutch “Old Batavia”). Relax at Café Batavia great for live music and a favourite of ours.
National Gallery

The national gallery is both a museum and arts exhibit. It houses over 1700 works of art from local and international artists. If you are interested in art this is a great place to see what the Jakarta art scene has to offer.
Puppet Museum

This museum houses a great collections of Javanese leather puppets (wayang kulit), wooden puppets (wayang golek), as well as masks traditional in Indonesia and other countries. UNESCO proclaimed Indonesian puppets as “Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
