SALT of Palmar

An adult-only boutique hotel on the east coast of Mauritius, SALT of Palmar, is a unique place with it’s wonderfully bold and colourful design and eco-friendly focus. This sophisticated retreat is a real gem.

There are 59 rooms. All rooms accommodate up to 2 adults. All rooms included furnished balcony or terrace.

Each room includes a handmade Carpe Diem bed – developed with physios for the best sleep, 100% organic cotton bedding, all-natural, locally produced toiletries, a Roberts radio, a yoga mat and block, homemade snacks and a locally handmade beach bag. To note, there are no TVs in the rooms.

Garden View – Available with King size bed or Twin beds. Includes view of the filao trees on the beach and the turquoise lagoon.

Seaview Room – Available with King size bed or Twin beds. Seconds away from the pool and sea.

Bang On Beach – Available with King size bed or Twin beds. Above the beach, facing east to the Indian Ocean. 

Pool Plus – King size bed. Includes pool view.

Best On Beach – King size bed. Beachside room. 2 rooftop rooms available.

The Good Kitchen – A la carte. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Offers local and globally inspired food. Everything is grown there and cooked from scratch. They do raw, healthy, vegan and vegetarian food with no waste. Also offer theme dinners.

SALT Bakery – Bread and French baked goods displayed from 7am – 10.30am. Artisanal breads and pastries are slow-fermented and straight from the oven. Fresh-roasted, barista-brewed coffee served 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Tea time is 4pm – 5.30pm where you have a choice of tea, coffee and pastries.

The Rooftop Bar – Overlooks the ocean. Great selection of cocktails.

The Beach – A hangout on the white sand beach for freshly prepared Mauritian snacks and cocktails made from seasonal fruits and fresh herbs. 

The Pool Bar – The place to sample craft beers, brewed on the island, as well as sip cocktails.
