OBLU Xperience Ailafushi

Located on the North Male Atoll, OBLU Xperience Ailafushi is a great family friendly resort. On arrival into Male airport, meet your resort guide who will whisk you away to wait for your 15 minute speedboat transfer ride across to the resort. Once on board, sit back and relax with a cool wet cloth, with the option to connect to the onboard Wifi.

Ocean view rooms (48) – These standard rooms, which sleep 2 adults and 1 child, offer a smart modern design, whitewashed walls, wooden furnishings and window seat with veranda to step outdoors and view the beauty that surrounds you.

Family ocean view room (48) – These spacious rooms, mirror the ocean view rooms; the only difference being the additional room with bunk beds for the children and their own separate bathroom, allowing 2 adults and 2 children to sleep here.  These offer a mix of sunset and sunrise views.

Beach villas (66) – Just a few steps from the beach, these villas offer your own outdoor veranda and garden area. With modern furnishings your spacious villa with its wooden floors, vibrant textiles, and your outdoor shower offers everything you need to relax in style. These villas sleep 2 adults and 1 child and offer a mix of sunset and sunrise views. 

Water villas (106) – Accessed by a wooden jetty, stretching out over the lagoon, these villas shaped like a Dhoni offer their own private deck and steps down directly into the water. These villas sleep 2 adults and 1 child and both sunset and sunrise villas are available.

All guests staying at Oblu Xperience dine on the Fushi plan. This includes buffet style dining at the Main restaurant Element X, for breakfast, lunch and dinner and includes all drinks (excluding premium brands). All guests have the mini bar in their room replenished daily with soft drinks, beer and water.

Additional dining options that guests can choose (at extra charge) include:

• Copper Pot Restaurant – Surf & Turf food truck experience
• Only Blu Underwater Restaurant – The largest underwater restaurant in the Maldives
• La Promenade – Coffees, pastries, sophisticated wines and premium liquors

X360 Pool bar offers both soft and alcoholic drinks throughout the day,  popcorn to snack on, with live bands, music and entertainment.

 X360 Pool bar: The pool bar hosts regular entertainment every day – live music, fire jugglers etc. When you get there, check out the weekly activity plan, or find the info on your app so that you don’t miss the pool parties, DJ’s and other daily

activities.  Upstairs, above the bar is a games area where you can find pool tables,

board games and where they show live sport e.g. football on TV.

Spa: Eleina spa (extra charge) – 8 treatment rooms plus a salon offering a
wide range of treatments.

Kids club: The kids club at Ailafushi is fantastic. This is aimed at children aged 4-12 (younger children must be accompanied by an adult). Within the dedicated kids club area there are various rooms with different activites for the children, ranging from toy kitchen set ups to table football.  There is also a smaller rooms with beds in, if younger children need to have a nap.  Meandering through the kids club area there is a lagoon style pool suitable for the children.  

For the slightly older kids, upstairs you can find arcade style games, board games and other activities more suited to the slightly older children. There is also a cinema room, utilised 3 times weekly, where kids get to sit and chill on beanbags with popcorn and watch a movie.  

The kids club also offer little trips out, for example a visit to Only Blu Underwater Restaurant.

All children attending the kids club can choose to eat in the kids club area if they wish. They get to choose from more “typical” kids meals such as chicken nuggets and chips, pasta etc.

Marine/Watersports: All guests can use paddle board and kayaks free of charge for 15 minutes per day, everything else is chargeable including snorkelling equipment.

While there is no actual house reef, you can snorkel in the lagoon area in the middle of the Island, next to Element X Restaurant.

For the adrenaline junkies, you can head off the main beach onto the slide straight into the ocean, or have a go on the giant overwater trampoline.

Fitness: All guests have shared access to the fully equipped overwater Gym, situated on the bridge walkway between Ailafushi and its neighbouring adults only Island Oblu Select Lobigili.
