Sumbawa Trekking
Trekking in Sumbawa is excellent, the island is very large so there is plenty of land to cover. The experience is enhanced by the lack of other tourists, you get to enjoy the jungle, wildlife, waterfalls and volcanoes all with very few crowds. Treks can range from 30 mins to 3 days and offer excellent guides and food to help you along the way. Its not just the mainland that has adventures to offer and there are several islands in the area, allowing you can combine a boat trip with a trek.

Mantar
Mantar is a unique village located at the top of Mantar Mountain, 650m above sea level. The village makes you feel like you are above the clouds and offers stunning views.
Danau Satonda
This beautiful salt water lake can be found on Satonda Island. Very little is known about the lake as there has been no research done. It is a beautiful area to enjoy a hike.
Tanjung Menangis
This outcrop of land is excellent to hike, you can enjoy the greenery of the jungle and then stunning ocean views at the end.
Mata Jitu Waterfall

As you can see from the picture, this waterfall is tropical paradise. Located on Moyo Island you will need tot ake a boat trip to get here, then you can enjoy a jungle trek to arrive at this stunning location.
Mount Tambora

Tambora is an amazing active volcanic peak. Its last eruption is 1815 was the largest eruption in the world. The trek takes about 2-3 days. It is not a challenging climb as paths are well maintained. The view from the top is amazing.
Agal Waterfall
Located near the village of Marenteh, this stunning waterfall is a must see. The trek takes approximately 30 minutes each way through jungle paths.
