The Kumbh Mela Festival is one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings, and part of UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Culture of Humanity. This mass Hindu pilgrimage culminates in ritual immersions in the holy river Ganges over a number of auspicious bathing dates. The 2019 Kumbh will take place in Allahabad at the Sangam where three holy rivers converge.
