The Sandpiper is a serene, boutique beachfront resort nestled along the Platinum West Coast of Barbados.
Situated in 12 sprawling acres of tropical gardens rich with palm trees, bougainvillaea and hibiscus, and framed by a tranquil cove overlooking turquoise waters, The Sandpiper is a short stroll from Holetown.
Hidden pathways lead you to your sanctuary amongst lush green foliage and the gentle sea breeze. Enjoy Caribbean-European cuisine, chilled rum cocktails and if you’d like some me time, you can take a short shuttle ride to the nearby Coral Reef Club for a signature massage or hydrotherapy in a lush beach setting.

There are 50 rooms and suites altogether, elegantly decorated giving a luxurious ambience with balconies or terraces and private plunge pools.
There are two swimming pools – adults only and a family pool for shared relaxation. Complimentary non-motorised sports includes snorkelling, paddleboarding, kayaking and sailing where you get to be in touch with the Caribbean nature that surrounds you, including sea turtles and vibrant reefs. And if you like active holidays and tennis, then the resident tennis pro is available to give daily coaching tips on the two lit tennis courts.

Garden View Room: Tucked within clusters of tropical gardens, the Garden View Room offers a serene retreat for two. Expect a crisp king-size or twin bed, elegantly tiled floors and soft pastel decor. Step outside onto a furnished patio or balcony where chaise longues await in the shade. These rooms are air-conditioned and have views of either the gardens, pool or Caribbean sea.
One Bedroom Suite: This generous suite features a separate living room with sofa bed, kitchenette, and a king or twin bedroom which is perfect for up to three adults or two adults with two young children under the age of 12 years old. Interiors feature bright Caribbean-style fabrics, crisp white walls, and framed views of shimmering gardens and the pool. A shaded balcony or patio is furnished for relaxation under swaying palms.
Oceanfront One Bedroom Suite: Set directly on the oceanfront, this refined suite offers a spacious bedroom with plush linens, a separate living room with bar, and a bathroom featuring both a tub and walk-in shower. Wide sliding doors open onto a large balcony furnished with chaise longues and panoramic views over the sea, perfect at sunset. Stylish and serene, this suite excludes guests under 12 years old and is designed with one or two adults in mind.
Two Bedroom Suite: Ideal for families or friends, this expansive suite offers two separate bedrooms (each king or twin), two bathrooms, a shared living area with sofa bed, kitchen, and a large terrace. Naturally lit and breezy, interiors are decorated with Caribbean pastels, mahogany furniture, and indoor-outdoor flows. With space for five guests (or two adults and two children), it’s perfect for shared privacy and comfortable connection.
Tree Top Suites – Whimbrel and Sanderling: For adults only. Perched above the gardens with sweeping sea views, these two luxurious suites feature a spacious bedroom (four-poster in Whimbrel; king or twin laterally convertible in Sanderling), dressing area, and generous living room. Bathrooms boast both rain showers and standalone tubs. Step out onto the wide terrace with a bar and complimentary starter spirits, or climb to the sundeck with your private plunge pool, which is ideal for sublime relaxation and sea breezes.
Tree Top Suite – Curlew: The resort’s most prestigious suite, Curlew stands on the shoreline with unobstructed ocean views from every angle. Inside, discover a spacious living room, separate bedroom, dressing area, and a luxurious bathroom with dual vanity, walk-in shower, and soaking tub. Outdoors, the expansive covered terrace features lounge seating, bar, dining for six and direct sea views, while the open-top sundeck boasts a private plunge pool. Ideal for two adults, it can also connect to two Beach House Suites to offer villa-style living for up to eight guests. Children under 12 are not permitted.
Beach House Suites: Overlooking white sandy shores, each of these two oceanfront suites includes a separate lounge (with sofa bed), bedroom, and luxurious bathroom. The expansive covered patio, complete with a bar and sun deck, opens onto the beach, just steps from crystal-clear water. Designed to be flexible, they can be combined with the premier Curlew Suite to form a three-bedroom villa. Each suite accommodates up to three or two adults with two children under 12.
The Restaurant: Regarded as one of Barbados’s finest dining venues, The Restaurant is set within a wooden pavilion open on three sides, surrounded by flickering torches, koi ponds, and tropical gardens. Evening menus blend Caribbean flair with elegant European and Asian influences, using the finest local and imported ingredients. The dinner menu changes five times weekly, ensuring freshness and variety. Dine in refined casual elegance, mindful of the evening dress code of smart-casual attire. Children under five are welcome in the restaurant until 7pm, with early dining or room service available thereafter.
Harold’s Beach Bar: For relaxed seaside moments, Harold’s Beach Bar is the place to be. Built using natural materials, this bamboo-and-thatch beachside spot delivers a laid-back Caribbean ambience for al-fresco lunches, tropical cocktails and casual dinners.
The Juice Bar: Serves freshly pressed juices, wellness smoothies like the “Green Goddess” and “Beat the Blues,” iced coconut water, coffee, and soft-serve ice cream reminiscent of “Mr. Whippy.” It’s the perfect casual pit-stop for refreshed, flavourful bites and youthful delight.
Pools and Beach Leisure: Enjoy a tranquil escape at the mosaic-tiled pool, meandering in the lush gardens, or energise your day with laps in the 60-ft slate lap pool reserved for adults until 1pm.
