Raffles Hotel Le Royal
Phnom Penh
Raffles Hotel Le Royal - a luxurious escape rooted in history dating back to 1929.
Located in the heart of Phnom Penh on a tree-lined road, Raffles Hotel Le Royal has long been the most elegant hotel in the city. It was constructed in 1929 and, after careful expansion and repair, reopened as the Raffles Hotel Le Royal in 1997.
Designed by the visionary Ernest Hebrard in French Colonial and Art Deco styles, its inauguration was graced by King Sisowath Monivong giving it a symbol of prestige from its very beginning.
Closed during Cambodia’s turbulent years, it reopened under Raffles’ stewardship in 1997 following meticulous restoration, honoring its architectural legacy and relaunching as a luxury destination.
If you want a day to yourself to relax, then Raffles Spa is the perfect place to visit. With traditional Khmer and modern treatments, you can also enjoy the saunas, steam rooms, Jacuzzi and outdoor lap pool. There is also a fitness centre and complimentary fitness classes you can attend.
There are two dining options to choose from during your stay. Restaurant Le Royal offers traditional recipes from the Cambodian royal family alongside modern Khmer gastronomy. Le Phnom 1929 is a French-style brasserie with an open kitchen and an extensive wine list and delicious cuisine.
Elephant Bar is where you’ll find signature cocktails and gins, whereas the Poolside Terrace is next to the swimming pool where you can enjoy refreshing drinks and light bites along with tapas.
