The Ritz-Carlton is a very new resort that opened in June 2021 - and you will receive a very high standard that is expected with this well respected hotel brand.
Situated in the North Male Atoll in a very untouched area.
From Male Airport it will be a 45 minute speedboat, 60 minute luxury yacht experience or even a 10 minute seaplane.
The Ritz Carlton is part of the Fari Islands which is a unique concept, once completed it will include three resorts that can all be visited from whichever island you are staying on. A real integrated island experience. Patina Island is already open and is just an 8 minute dhoni journey away where you can discover its marina, restaurants and shops.
On arrival at The Ritz-Carlton, you will be met on the pontoon by the resort manager and your butler will then show you to your villa.
The 100 villas have very unique designs - either circular or square. Situated on the beach or on the jetty, some with sunset or sunrise views.
Solar panels produce 70% of the power needed to supply the island.
Many of the resorts structures have the circular design and they really give a very modern, minimalist and exciting vibe, designed by the award-winning Kerry Hill Architects.
The island's staff don't stay on the island but have their own rooms on a nearby campus island, a short boat ride away.
Many of the Ritz-Carlton's restaurants can be found on a small island called the Culinary Island. Restaurants include the Italian "La Locanda" and the Cantonese "Summer Palace".

Iwau:
Iwau, means "to celebrate" in Japanese, and this restaurant honours Japanese flavors. The restaurant is open to the sky and features two nine-seat teppanyaki grills where you can see the seafood and meat prepared. Enjoy sushi and sashimi at the romantic tables for two set within the pool - and maybe try one of the Japanese sakes or whiskies.

House Reef: Good reef - it was important in the design of the island to minimise the impact on the fragile reef ecosystem during its development.
