Opened in October 2018, the Westin Maldives has been designed as a well-being haven focusing on six key elements of a healthy lifestyle; Sleep Well, Eat Well, Move Well, Feel Well, Work Well and Play Well. The Westin Maldives is a private island situated in Baa Atoll, a 30 minute seaplane transfer from Male International Airport. Please be aware that seaplanes can only fly during daylight hours. A 20 minute domestic flight followed by a 10 minute speedboat ride provides an alternative means of transfer.

The architecture of the villas carries on the theme of marine interpretation while interiors are smart, stylish and uncluttered. Overwater Villa (194 sqm) Perched above clear turquoise lagoons at both the most eastern and western tips of the island, the stilted villas with their wraparound shell roof structures each boast a generous space of almost 200 square metres. One King Bed + Sofa bed, maximum occupancy of 3.
Overwater Villa + Pool (194 sqm) This stilted accommodation is complimented by a private 28 feet long pool & deck and unobstructed Indian Ocean views. One King Bed + Sofa bed, maximum occupancy of 3.
2 Bedroom Beach Villa (297 sqm) Covering almost 300 square meters and sleeping up to four, this suite is inclusive of one king-sized and two twin Westin Heavenly Beds bed plus a signature Heavenly Bathroom. Maximum occupancy is 5 with 1 x King bed and 2 x Queen beds.
Heavenly Beach Residence (508 sqm) At 500 square metres, the spacious Two-Bedroom Island Residence with Pool, featuring two private bedrooms, is the largest on offer at The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort. One bedroom has a king size bed whilst the second has two Queen beds.
The 3 restaurants and 2 bars at the resort focus on healthy eating and nourishment. The signature restaurant is Japanese, in keeping with the resort's Japanese owners. Under the half board or full board meal plan, guests dine at Island Kitchen with the option to eat at Pearl or Hawker once every four nights.

House Reef: there is a very good house reef surrounding the majority of the island. It is close to the beach and not too far to the drop off. The best areas for snorkelling are marked for ease of access. The UNESCO protected biosphere reserve of Hanafaru Bay is 20 minutes away - it is possible to take an excursion to snorkel here. The reserve is famous for manta rays and whale sharks which come to feed on the abundance of plankton at specific times of the year.
Diving: The dive centre offers courses and boat trips to various diving sites in Baa Atoll.
Sports & Recreation: The Westin Workout Fitness Studio offers a personal instructor, fitness classes, cardiovascular equipment and free weights and is open 24/7. There is also a handy kit rental facility - just incase you forgot to pack your trainers! There are also tennis courts, a jogging trail and volleyball.
Water Sports: A stunning outdoor swimming pool and children's pool are available at the resort. There is also boating, kayaking, water skiing, jet skiing, surfing, snorkelling and diving.
Kids: Facilities for children include a large outdoor recreation area with tennis court and space for other sports as well as a beach side swimming pool. The Westin Kids Club® is available for young guests, aged four to 12, with special supervised fun activities and programmes every day.
