Located on the north Male Atoll the resort is only 20mins by speed boat from the airport. Gili Lankanfushi prides its self on sustainability and making sure they are eco friendly. The eco-resort’s philosophy is ‘no news, no shoes’ and they encourage guests to live sustainably.Known for its rustic over water villas and as one of the first barefoot luxury resorts, the resort offers a wonderfully laid back atmosphere and hosts a range of activities from cooking classes, sunset yoga, sandbank picnics, and private movie screenings. There are special entertainment programmes for kids. The Ocean Paradise Dive Centre is PADI certified while Tropicsurf school allows guests to experience world class surfing.
All guests are offered a personal Mr Friday who can help out with any requests and is also available for childcare. This is a great addition to the hotel having someone on hand to help when needed. Gili Lagoon Villas- Overwater luxurious Gili Lagoon Villas face the west, offering spectacular sunset views. Spread across two floors, these thatched one-bedroom hideaways each come with an open-air living room, spacious bathroom and private rooftop terrace. Bask in the sun on your deck, or swim out to your private water hammock. Eagle rays, reef sharks and shoals of luminescent fish may pass you by.
Gili Lagoon Residences- Step into the blue when staying at this unique lagoon Residence set at the end of our western-facing jetty. Spread across two floors, it comes with a master bedroom, air-conditioned living room, spacious semi open-air bathroom and rooftop terrace. Snooze away the afternoon as you relax on your own hammock in the sea; we guarantee this will become your preferred hideaway spot.
The Crusoe Residences- Find solitude and seclusion at one of our seven stand-alone Crusoe Residences set a short boat ride away from our island. Spread across two floors, each comes with a master bedroom, air-conditioned living room (convertible to a second bedroom), spacious semi open-air bathroom and private rooftop terrace. A choice of a picturesque view is yours, where tranquility and a true sense of open space awaits. The standalone Crusoe Residences and The Private Reserve are only accessible by boat. The Crusoe Residences include a rooftop terrace, mini wine cellar and private rowing boat.

Kashiveli-Located directly on the beach and open for breakfast and dinner, Kashiveli – which translates as ‘coral sands’ in the local Dhivehi language – embodies locally-sourced, nutritious ingredients and vibrant flavours through a marriage of land and ocean. Four evenings per week see the beach and overwater bar transformed with a buzzing market experience, with the Asian Street Market, Mediterranean Spice Souk, Passage to India and Maldivian Seafood Grill nights.
By the Sea- Surrounded by tropical jungle and offering stunning ocean views, this intimate restaurant presents a Japanese fine-dining feast. Enjoy exquisite sushi, sashimi and specialties from seasonal tasting menus and its a really great to watch the highly skilled teppanyaki chef as he puts on a show. By The Sea’s extensive sake list is sure to impress, and if you need any guidance our knowledgeable sommeliers know what to suggest.
Overwater Bar-This bar is set on stilts offering amazing views. At lunchtime, find salads fresh from our organic garden, Mediterranean dishes, the catch of the day and daily chef’s special. For a healthier option, consider the light yet nutritional and substantial dish from Hari’s super food menu. Come sunset, it’s where you’ll want to be with a coconut martini in hand, relishing the balmy evening breeze. For a dinner experience at the outer deck of the Over Water Bar, where you can enjoy a Seafood Basket for two with a bottle of Champagne under the stars. On Sundays, they have Indian Tandoor night with sizzling meats, spicy specialties and homemade chapatis, rotis, poppadums, and delicious naans.
Fini Foni- Fini Foni in Dhivehi means Cold Sweet. Savour unique homemade flavours of ice lolly and Ice Cream by the poolside. Snacks and cocktails are also made available for you upon request.
Guests can escape to romantic destinations including private castaway island One Palm Island, Horizon Beach and treetop restaurant 360 Degrees. Wine tasting and dinners are hosted by the resort’s sommelier in the underground cellar featuring 400 varieties of wine. There is also the opportunity to sample handmade chocolates, artisanal cheese and cold deli cuts.
House Reef: a standard house reef, however they do offer guided tours with marine biologists who will help you spot so much more.
Diving: Some excellent dives a short boat journey away. Dive courses are available. Dives are very eco friendly.
