Coco is situated on the private island of Bodu Hithi in North Male Atoll, a 40 minutes speedboat transfer from Male International Airport. Speedboats can operate at any time of day or night and therefore provides more flexibility than seaplanes which can only fly during daylight hours.
A total of 100 stunning Villas. Choose from 44 stylish Island Villas and 56 Water Villas divided into three categories. One of the main advantages of this resort is that every villa has its own private pool. A personal bar, flat screen TV with DVD player, music system, espresso machine, private safe and wireless internet connection are standard features in every villa.
Island Villas These are stunning, enormous beach villas (188m²) nestled amongst foliage set just behind the beach. The Balinese influenced villa is open plan in design with a high ceiling and exposed timber beams. The king size bed looks out over a private walled courtyard containing a reasonably sized pool (6.8 x 3 metres), daybed and sun loungers. The room then flows into a bathroom and dressing area with a central jacuzzi bathtub overlooking the ocean. A few steps lead down to a sunken lounge area with sofas, flat screen TV with DVD player, music system and personal bar. Beyond this lies an extensive outdoor deck with loungers, dining furniture and a wonderful outdoor day bed. From here it is only a few steps to the beach and ocean. The whole ensemble is impressively luxurious and simply gorgeous.
Water Villas These 16 Villas (109m²) include a king size bed, spacious bathroom with designer bathtub, shower and double wash basins. The highlight is the spacious outdoor deck, the perfect spot for chilling, sunbathing or taking a dip in the impressive pool. Stunning views across the Indian Ocean and back to the island.
Escape Water Villas Larger than the regular Water Villas (144m²) the 16 Escape Water Villas offer an additional and separate living room, with the flexibility to open the whole space up or partition using sliding doors. The living space opens into a private terrace with private pool, outdoor seating, split level sundeck and direct access to the lagoon.
Coco Residences A collection of 24 exceptional water villas located off their own private jetty and offering the ultimate in personal service and privacy. These are the largest (184m²) and most luxurious water villas at the resort. Each offers total privacy, having an outdoor terrace with pavilion and pool, a comfortable bedroom, spacious lounge and bathroom with bathtub and indoor and outdoor showers.
Coco Residences are deliberately located furthest away from the main island to enhance the creation of seclusion, exclusivity and privacy. These luxury villas include in-villa check-in, Champagne on arrival and daily sundowner cocktails with canapés between 6pm and 7pm. Butler services are offered on a 24 hour basis by a dedicated Lifestyle Host to discreetly respond to your every need. An over water restaurant and bar, The Stars, is dedicated to the Coco Residences with the Coco Spa alongside.
Coco Bodu Hithi offers 5 separate restaurants and 2 bars. The main restaurant, ‘Air’ provides elegant all-day dining with views of the infinity pool; where romantic overwater restaurant, Aqua, offers seafood specialties with a unique Asian twist.
Air A poolside restaurant, with a menu of international dishes. The day begins with a spectacular buffet of breakfasts from around the world, featuring everything from fresh tropical fruit platters to Chinese fish congee. Lunch offers guests an À la carte menu of vibrant European salads, Maldivian specialties, BBQ, and mouth-watering desserts. Dinner buffets are themed to celebrate iconic cuisines such as Indian, Arabian, Italian or French. Friday night is always dedicated to the food of the Maldives, with local cooks traveling to the island to create specialty appetisers and curries.
Aqua A fine dining restaurant, open for dinner only. Aqua’s chefs showcase the fragrant delicacy of Thai and South East Asian flavours, in a seasonal menu focussed on the day’s local seafood catch. Aqua is situated over water and offers spectacular views as well as sensational food and service. In 2016, it was voted ‘Best luxury seafood restaurant in the Maldives’ in the World Luxury Restaurant Awards.
Latitude Enjoy a perfectly mixed cocktail as you sink into the comfort of Latitude bar’s chic seating and take the magnificent ocean view. Wines, spirits, tea coolers, beers, and coffees are also offered. Latitude has a varied menu which includes stone-baked pizzas, Asian classics, wraps and sandwiches. On select evenings, live bands play as the sun sets over Bodu Hithi.
Stars Part restaurant part bar within the Coco Residences enclave. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner feature an inspired fusion of Mediterranean and contemporary Asian flavours. All meals are offered À la carte, although six-course degustation menus with perfect wine pairings are available to those who like to put control in the chef’s hands. Throughout the day, Stars bar serves a full menu of tantalising cocktails, mocktails, tea quenchers, coffees, wines, and spirits. Facing west, Stars is the place to be as the sun sets.
Tsuki Coco Bodu Hithi's Japanese Restaurant in the Maldives. Refined yet unpretentious, chefs prepare Japanese soups, salads, tempura, sashimi, sushi, hot dishes and desserts. Dine À la carte or choose a curated 5-course menus. Located in an elevated position above Latitude, guests can choose to dine outside on the terrace in the soft evening breeze or sit at the sushi bar and watch the theatre of the chefs preparing their masterful dishes.
Wine Loft A selection of more than 200 diverse global wines, including a selection of organic and biodynamic labels, awaits. The expert sommelier team are on hand to listen, recommend and serve wines or guests can simply browse to find a favorite. There are weekly wine sampling dinners available at the Wine Loft.
Private Dining A selection of private dining experiences are available and include: Champagne Beach Breakfast, Private Beach Dining, Beach BBQ, Villa Grill - private BBQ at your accommodation.
House Reef: The house reef encircles the island with 5 entry/exit points but snorkelling is most rewarding between the water villas and Aqua restaurant. Access to the reef is from the beach and reached within around 5-10 metres. A nice touch is that snorkelling equipment can be borrowed free of charge at the resort.
Diving: Dive Ocean Bodu Hithi operate a comprehensive programme of PADI courses and is staffed by four multi lingual instructors. Begin your exploration of the lagoon with a guided orientation dive in the house reef before venturing further afield to try a selection of underwater adventures including full day excursions and night dives. You can achieve PADI Certification from entry level through to professional standard. Transfer times to dive sites are an average of 20-30 minutes from resort. On visiting the dive centre, I found the staff to be extremely helpful and very willing to advise us on the best options for snorkelling the house reef.
Sports: A well equipped, air conditioned gym is available free of charge. The gym is located in a lovely dedicated over the water building with panoramic views across the ocean. You may also enjoy badminton, tennis, volleyball and snooker.

Departure Lounge: Longitude is the Resorts' dedicated departure lounge with television, changing facilities and baggage storage to ensure that holiday feeling remains with you all the way home.
Spa: Coco Spa (over the water) features private treatment rooms, each with their own pool, bath or relaxation deck. Guests are free to indulge in the Jacuzzi, cold plunge pool, sauna, steam room and fitness centre with panoramic lagoon views. The yoga pavilion, with two huts and a large deck offers sunrise to sunset yoga sessions. Guests are also encouraged to partake in t’ai chi and tennis and there are various amounts of water sports to choose from.
