With one of the very best, if not the best house reefs in the Maldives, Angsana Ihuru is a perfect choice for those looking for excellent, easily accessible snorkelling from the beach. With the reef encircling the entire island, and hosting a myriad of marine life, it really doesn't get any better than this. The island itself is picture perfect Maldives - in fact it is said to be the most photographed island of all the Maldivian islands. A fine, white powder beach extends around the small circular island - true, some areas have suffered a degree of erosion but it is never far to find a perfect spot for beach lounging. The small, intimate nature of the resort also makes it a perfect choice for honeymooners - particularly in the jetpool villas. Easy access to Male via speedboat transfers.
At 200 x 200 metres, Angsana Ihuru is the quintessential small, circular tropical Maldivian paradise island. Set on silky soft sand shores, each of the colourfully styled villas offer panoramic views of the turquoise Indian Ocean. Sand-floored Riveli is located on the waterfront and serves a fantastic spread of international cuisine. The relaxed informal bar is the place for sundowners, refreshing cocktails and spotting dolphins in the lagoon. Destination Dining is also offered in a variety of locations including remote venues and romantic sandbanks.
With one of the Maldives best house reefs, rustic-luxe beachfront villas, an award winning spa and sleek dining venues, this desert island hideout is a little gem in paradise.
