Alila Manggis is situated within the regency of Karangasem, close to the town of Candidasa. Here the local people follow a traditional lifestyle, cultivating rice, farming, fishing, weaving baskets and the famous double ikat textiles, or salt making. Various walking tours are available, taking in sights like Mount Agung, home to Bali’s mother temple at Besakih, and the spectacular terraced hillsides. The waters east of Manggis teem with diverse marine life and are home to seven wondrous dive sites.
The rooms come in a superior room, deluxe room or seaside suite. All are spacious and well maintained by an excellent house keeping team. Wifi and air conditioning is available in all rooms.
Sea Salt Restaurant has a great menu and the restaurant is named after sea salt used, which is farmed from the salt pans in Goa Lawah nearby. The food served is both local and international, there is a real mix on the menu, with something for everyone. We recommend the Traditional Balinese Megibung, which is a unique and very traditional way of sharing food with friends and family during village festivals and ceremonies in East Bali and some parts of Lombok. This is an excellent way to sample the local cuisine and is decoratively served to you on a carved timber stand called the Dulang.
Alila Manggis work with Zen Dive to offer the perfect gateway to the world class marine splendors of East Bali. The marine life is excellent and their is a great selection of dive sites available. The dive Centre is excellent and can offer you a chance to experience scuba diving for the first time, complete a PADI Diver certification or embark on an underwater journey.
Spa Alila offers everything from facials to aromatherapy massages. The spa experiences are presented in the haven of two outdoor spa bales located on the grounds of the Pandan Forest, facing the sea, allowing nature to soothe you towards total relaxation.
