Mount Rinjani is 3,726 meters high and located in the north of Lombok. It is not an easy trek, the route to the top takes about 2 days. The first day you trek to a base camp, then early on the second day you do the final hike to the top and get to enjoy the day taking in the lake, hot springs and stunning views, (each location requires more hiking and hills). You will then hike back down on day 3, which offers more stunning views, including waterfalls and the jungle. The temeratures are very hot during the day, with little shelter in some areas and at the top early in the morning it is very cold, so bring the right clothes, guides carry all the food.
People often think Lombok is all about the beaches and Gili Islands, however travel inland and you will find so much more! You can choose from 20 min walks to 4 day treks and there is so much to explore. The Coastlines are stunning making excellent half or full day walks exploring different bays. Mount Rinjani is the second highest volcano in Indonesia and is not an easy climb but it worth it for the views. There are amazing guides that can take you on some incredible routes around Lombok, giving you insight into the local history, culture and cuisine. Whatever you are looking for in a walk we can find the perfect route for you.
